Job Summary

Define and own the content engine from idea to impact by turning complex technical topics into consumer-friendly messages for customers, employees, and the public.

  • Content Ownership: build short and long form assets across talking points, video scripts, web, and social content that reinforce brand voice.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: gather accurate information from SMEs across the company to ensure relevance and consistency.
  • Audience and Channel Fit: tailor messaging for diverse audiences and platforms while meeting tight deadlines.

Job Description

  • Develop short and long form content across multiple formats and channels.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across the company to gather accurate, relevant information.
  • Tailor content to customers, employees, stakeholders, and the general public.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand voice, messaging, and communications goals.
  • Edit and proofread to maintain high quality and consistency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in content creation and communications.
  • Assist in developing and executing communications campaigns and initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a communications role
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong understanding of content creation for digital and print
  • Experience translating technical concepts into consumer friendly language
  • Strong project management skills and cross team collaboration
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Power, Gas, and Utility industries is an asset
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media platforms is an asset
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media platforms is an asset
