Overview

The Website Project Manager is responsible for overseeing key WordPress website development projects at Madcraft, managing a diverse and growing portfolio of global clients. This role plays a critical part in the agency’s success, ensuring seamless project execution, high-quality digital experiences, and successful client relationships.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, international clients, and digital strategists, this role is pivotal in driving web transformation projects across industries. Reporting directly to the Head of IT Projects, this is a high-impact role within the Madcraft web development team, offering the chance to shape the future of digital experiences for global brands.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage a global portfolio of WordPress website development projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
• Act as the primary liaison between Madcraft’s project teams and international clients, ensuring smooth communication and strategic alignment.
• Coordinate and brief development, design, and content teams on project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
• Ensure project tracking platforms are maintained with up-to-date progress, resource allocation, and key deliverables.
• Provide expert guidance on UX, UI, website performance, digital strategy, and eCommerce solutions.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
• Support client service requests by managing ad-hoc updates and new feature requests within the client support channel.

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in website project management within an agency or digital environment.
• Ability to manage multiple website projects simultaneously, balancing scope, timelines, and resources.
• Strong understanding of WordPress, with experience in Contentful, BigCommerce, Shopify, and other enterprise-grade CMS platforms considered a plus.
• Experience managing international clients and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies for website and digital project delivery.
• Proficiency in PM and task management systems such as Trello, Monday, Teamwork, Forecast, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.
• Ability to collaborate with developers, designers, and strategists to ensure seamless project execution.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic recommendations for website enhancements.

Location

• This is a remote role with occasional office days at our Austin, TX location, though it is primarily remote. In-person attendance may be required for key client meetings, as determined by the Head of Department.
