VP, Earned Media

Responsibilities

• Lead earned media strategy and execution for clients across life sciences, public health and health technology, securing meaningful coverage across national, trade, consumer, broadcast and digital media.
• Develop compelling, newsworthy stories, pitches and media strategies that help complex healthcare topics break through.
• Serve as a trusted client advisor on high-profile moments including FDA approvals, corporate announcements, public health initiatives and issues or crisis situations.
• Build and maintain strong media relationships while identifying new opportunities to elevate client narratives.
• Partner across disciplines to integrate earned media into broader communications strategies and campaigns.
• Help evolve JPA Health’s earned media capabilities, including new approaches to technology, AI and measurement, while contributing to new business and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

• Significant earned media experience within a healthcare communications agency environment, supporting life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, public health and/or health technology clients.
• A strong track record of securing high-quality coverage across national, trade, consumer, broadcast and digital outlets.
• Excellent media instincts and established relationships, with the ability to identify compelling angles and develop pitches that break through.
• Strong healthcare storytelling skills and the ability to translate complex scientific or industry topics for different audiences.
• A strategic mindset combined with a willingness to remain hands-on with media strategy and execution.
• Strong client counsel, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across integrated teams.

• Competitive pay and opportunities to advance. The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $140,000 and $180,000 annually, based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. You may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses. We review compensation annually and evaluate readiness for promotions every quarter.
