Job Description

Videographer & Content Producer

Qinary  |  Scottsdale, Arizona  |  Full time, in person  |  W-2 with health insurance and benefits  |  $65,000 to $85,000

The short version

Qinary builds personal brands for founders, executives and business owners, and a lot of that brand lives in video. We are hiring one person to own video across two very different registers at once. The raw, shot-on-a-phone content that makes someone look like a real human on Instagram, and the high-end studio work, multi-camera podcast interviews, proper lighting and real audio, that makes them look like the authority they already are.

You would be the person behind the camera and the person finishing the footage. You own projects from the first setup to the final export.

That includes our founder's own brand and podcast, which you run directly, and it includes the video side of our podcast clients, which you carry alongside the account managers who own those relationships. You would also own the studio schedule, so shoots actually happen and nothing sits waiting.

This is a hands-on seat. You are shooting and editing, not directing from a chair.

Why this role exists

Our video work is spread across a few editors right now and it is growing faster than that setup can hold. We need one person who can carry a shoot from idea to published, keep the studio booked and moving, and raise the bar on what goes out. The founder's own content and podcast need a dedicated owner, and the podcast clients need someone who speaks video fluently sitting next to the account managers.

What you would own

The founder's brand and podcast. You run video for our CEO directly. His short-form social, his podcast and the studio days. You are the person who makes sure he is filmed well, cut well, and published on time.

The podcast clients, with the account managers. Our account managers own the client relationships. You own the video that runs through them: the interviews, the edit, and the clips that come out of a long episode. You keep the two sides in sync.

The studio. You own the schedule. What is booked, what is lit and ready, who is coming in and when. You keep it running so a shoot never stalls waiting on you.

Both registers of content. Some of the work is raw by nature, a phone, natural light and a fifteen minute turnaround, because that is what makes content feel real. Other work is a studio day, two cameras, a proper key light, a lav mic and a colour pass. You are fluent in both, and you know which one a given piece needs.

What you would actually do
  • Shoot original video, both run-and-gun mobile content and full studio setups with proper lighting and audio.
  • Run multi-camera podcast interviews from setup to final file.
  • Edit your own work: the cut, colour, audio, captions and motion titles, on both long-form episodes and short vertical clips.
  • Take a forty-five minute podcast and turn it into a week of short clips, each one cut for how its platform actually works.
  • Own the studio calendar and keep shoots on schedule.
  • Plan and deliver each client's video with their account manager.
  • Direct the people in front of the camera so they feel comfortable and come across well.
  • Keep footage, projects and exports organised so anyone can find anything.
  • Watch what is landing across platforms and bring ideas back, rather than only working a shot list.
What we need from you
  • Two to five years shooting and editing video, ideally for an agency, an in-house brand, or creators.
  • Editing is the heart of this role. Your cuts are tight and genuinely finished, and you are comfortable being judged on the output. Real fluency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus fast, clean short-form cuts in CapCut or similar. Long-form episodes and vertical clips both.
  • Fluent with AI editing tools, and clear-eyed about them. Transcript-based editing and auto-captioning (Descript or similar), pulling shorts out of a long episode (Opus Clip or similar), and the AI features now built into Premiere. You use them to move faster, and you know exactly where not to trust them.
  • A reel or portfolio that shows both registers: authentic mobile content and polished studio or interview work.
  • Hands-on with cameras, lighting and audio. You can walk into a room and light and mic an interview without a checklist.
  • A genuine feel for social video: what makes someone stop scrolling and stay, and why a piece that works on one platform dies on another.
  • Organised enough on your own time that you can own the studio calendar and keep several projects moving at once.
  • Comfortable on set with executives and clients, and steady when a shoot changes at the last minute.
  • Based in the Scottsdale area or willing to relocate. This is an in-person role.
What earns a second look
  • Multi-camera podcast video experience, especially with Riverside, an ATEM switcher, or Ecamm.
  • Live streaming, whether OBS, StreamYard or Ecamm Live.
  • Motion graphics in After Effects.
  • Your own content or audience, so you know the work from the creator side too.
  • Photography alongside the video.
The gear and tools you would work with

Sony and Canon mirrorless bodies, Aputure lighting, Rode wireless and a RODECaster for podcast audio, DJI gimbals, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, CapCut, Riverside for remote interviews, and the current AI editing tools. If you have your own kit you love, bring it. If you do not, the studio is stocked.

The details
  • Full time, in person, at our Scottsdale office and studio.
  • W-2, with health insurance and benefits.
  • $65,000 to $85,000, depending on how strong you are across shooting, editing, podcast and short-form.
  • Occasional travel for shoots and client work.
How to apply

Send us two things:

  • Your reel or portfolio. What we most want to see is the two registers side by side: something raw and real, and something polished.
  • A few lines on the piece of work you are proudest of, and why.

No formal cover letter needed. Show us the work.

Everyone who reaches the next stage does a short paid project, so you can see the actual work and we can see how you shoot and cut. It is paid because your time is worth paying for.

What we are actually looking for

Someone who can make a founder look real on a phone and commanding in a studio, and knows the difference. Someone who carries a shoot end to end without being chased. Someone with taste, who watches a cut back and knows exactly why it is or is not working.

Qinary is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on talent, and if you are strong at the core of this and unsure about a line or two above, apply anyway and tell us. We would rather read your work than screen you out on a checklist.
