Job Summary

Own the end to end video pipeline from shoot to editing to distribution, coordinating studio shoots, multi camera interviews, and platform optimized short form content, while maintaining schedules and client plans.

  • Lead on set direction and client coordination
  • Deliver platform ready cuts across formats
  • Balance fast AI-assisted edits with careful review

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Shoot original video, both run-and-gun mobile content and full studio setups with proper lighting and audio.
  • Run multi-camera podcast interviews from setup to final file.
  • Edit your own work: the cut, colour, audio, captions and motion titles, on both long-form episodes and short vertical clips.
  • Take a forty-five minute podcast and turn it into a week of short clips, each one cut for how its platform actually works.
  • Own the studio calendar and keep shoots on schedule.
  • Plan and deliver each client's video with their account manager.
  • Direct the people in front of the camera so they feel comfortable and come across well.
  • Keep footage, projects and exports organised so anyone can find anything.
  • Watch what is landing across platforms and bring ideas back, rather than only working a shot list.

Requirements

  • Two to five years shooting and editing video, ideally for an agency, an in-house brand, or creators.
  • Editing is the heart of this role. Your cuts are tight and genuinely finished, and you are comfortable being judged on the output. Real fluency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus fast, clean short-form cuts in CapCut or similar. Long-form episodes and vertical clips both.
  • Fluent with AI editing tools, and clear-eyed about them. Transcript-based editing and auto-captioning (Descript or similar), pulling shorts out of a long episode (Opus Clip or similar), and the AI features now built into Premiere. You use them to move faster, and you know exactly where not to trust them.
  • A reel or portfolio that shows both registers: authentic mobile content and polished studio or interview work.
  • Hands-on with cameras, lighting and audio. You can walk into a room and light and mic an interview without a checklist.
  • A genuine feel for social video: what makes someone stop scrolling and stay, and why a piece that works on one platform dies on another.
  • Organised enough on your own time that you can own the studio calendar and keep several projects moving at once.
  • Comfortable on set with executives and clients, and steady when a shoot changes at the last minute.
  • Based in the Scottsdale area or willing to relocate. This is an in-person role.

Preferred

  • Multi-camera podcast video experience, especially with Riverside, an ATEM switcher, or Ecamm.
  • Live streaming, whether OBS, StreamYard or Ecamm Live.
  • Motion graphics in After Effects.
  • Your own content or audience, so you know the work from the creator side too.
  • Photography alongside the video.

Benefits

  • W-2, with health insurance and benefits.
