Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Video Replay Official operates video replay systems according to CCHA league rules for hockey and GLIAC league rules for other Laker Athletics home events. They will provide referees with any necessary and applicable video replay in order to determine correct decisions.
They will also coordinate information between referees, game officials and statisticians. The Video Replay Official is also the point of contact for replay companies and the leagues for all video replay-related inquiries.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and manage the NCAA-mandated video replay system for goal reviews, offside calls, and other reviewable events.
Communicate directly with on-ice referees to provide clear and timely video evidence during stoppages.
Maintain accurate records of all reviewed plays, including timestamps and outcomes, for postgame reporting.
Ensure all replay equipment is functioning and compliant with NCAA and CCHA requirements before and during games.
Coordinate with broadcast production team to retrieve necessary angles for conclusive review.
Remain impartial and uphold the highest standards of competitive integrity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Comfortable with computers, game management software, and video replay systems
Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality at all times
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience operating DV Sport, XOS, Hudl, or other replay/video review systems.
Work Hours:
- Laker Athletics home events.
- Employees must arrive two hours prior to game time for hockey games, one hour prior to game time for other events.
