Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and produce high-quality long- and short-form video productions to promote NYS Student Financial Aid Programs. This includes integrating animated illustrations, typography, motion graphics, and live-action footage.
  • Create and produce videos to promote New York State’s Student Financial Aid Programs, using animated illustrations, typography, and footage shot by the Creative team, including social media and other marketing materials.
  • Assist in the pre-production phase by contributing to scriptwriting, storyboarding, and creating/reviewing concepts for multimedia campaigns.
  • Collaborate with others across the agency to develop engaging content for a variety of audiences, including students, parents, and schools. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase HESC’s Grants, Scholarships, and Loan Forgiveness programs, as well as produce behind-the-scenes content and informational updates.
  • Stay current on emerging social media trends, formats, and algorithms and apply insights to maximize HESC’s reach and keep content fresh and engaging.
  • Monitor and report on video performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain strict production quality and brand consistency across all agency projects, ensuring all visuals align with NYS and HESC brand guidelines.
  • Lead the organization, tagging, and maintenance of HESC’s extensive video and photography asset library to ensure files are easily accessible for the wider agency.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in video production, animation, and digital communications.
  • Fluency in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Basic knowledge of audio editing/sound design and graphic design.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Substitution:?Associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Video Production, Graphic Design, social media, Digital Communications, or a similar degree, substitute for two, four, or five years.

Preferred

  • Photography and lighting knowledge a plus.
