Job Summary

Own end-to-end video production and data-visual storytelling for freight policy content, turning raw footage into accessible visuals across social, web, and campaigns.

  • Lead shoots from setup through delivery, managing lighting, audio, color, and on-location execution.
  • Translate complex policy and research into clear visuals, including charts, infographics, thumbnails, and motion graphics.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Policy & Economics to align visuals with brand and messaging across owned and paid media.

Job Description

Responsibilities - Shoot video and photography in studio and on location, capturing high-quality footage, interviews, and b-roll - Fully own setup and breakdown of camera, lighting, and audio for shoots - Make sound technical decisions in both controlled and field environments - Operate equipment independently to ensure strong production quality - Edit video from raw footage through final delivery, including color correction and audio cleanup - Create motion graphics, titles, and simple animations as needed - Adapt videos for social, web, YouTube, presentations, and campaigns - Maintain the in-house studio and equipment, including supporting livestream video - Support with AAR’s paid digital campaign and social media program - Develop supporting visual assets for video content, including thumbnails, title cards, and promotional graphics Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience in video production, editing, and multimedia content creation - Experience executing shoots from setup through final delivery - Background in agency, in-house, media, nonprofit, or similar environment - Experience with data visualization, chart design or infographic development, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling visuals - Strong working knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment - Ability to independently set up and run shoots - Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including knowledge and experience with Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator - Experience with motion graphics (After Effects or similar) - Strong working knowledge of graphic design for digital content - Comfortable producing content for social and digital platforms - Comfortable exploring emerging AI technologies - Strong data visualization skills - Ability to turn raw footage into polished, engaging content - Comfortable working across formats (social, interviews, event content, etc.) - Strong eye for composition, pacing, and how to present data, research and policy information in visually compelling ways.
