Job Summary

Own end-to-end visual storytelling for the Oregon Symphony by planning and producing photo and video across live performances, events, and campaigns, collaborating with creative leadership to shape concepts and brand identity.

Production ownership: from concept to delivery, including on-site capture, editing, and final assets.
Content strategy: studio, lifestyle, performance, and documentary visuals across digital, print, and social channels.
Asset management and collaboration: manage equipment, budgets, and cross-department storytelling to maintain consistency and quality.

Job Description

Responsibilities\n

Plan and produce photography and video projects that support marketing campaigns, concerts, events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational storytelling.
Manage the full production process from concept development and pre-production planning through on-site capture, editing, and final delivery.
Collaborate with the Creative Director and internal stakeholders to develop visual concepts, define project goals, and bring creative ideas to life.
Capture high-quality photography and video at concerts, rehearsals, sponsorship activations, special events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
Produce studio, lifestyle, performance, and documentary-style content for digital, print, social media, and other marketing channels.
Edit and retouch photography and video assets, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency across all platforms.
Help evolve the Oregon Symphony's visual identity by creating content that reflects our brand while embracing new creative approaches and industry trends.
Manage photography and video equipment, production resources, budgets, and digital asset libraries to ensure projects remain organized and accessible.
Balance multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

\nRequirements\n

Bachelor's degree in Photography, Film, Visual Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Five or more years of professional photography and videography experience, preferably within a brand, agency, performing arts, nonprofit, or commercial environment.
Strong portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, editing, and visual storytelling across multiple formats and platforms.
Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and related creative tools.
Experience with studio lighting, location photography, and professional video production equipment.
Experience independently managing projects from concept development through final delivery.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and visual storytelling across web, email, paid advertising, and other digital channels.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build collaborative relationships across departments.
