Job Description

Responsibilities

Craft, manage, implement, and convey clients’ stories and messages through a full range of media outreach; cultivate, establish, and maintain relationships with local, national, international, and trade media
Serve as a day-to-day client contact, fostering client-agency relationships, building trust, and addressing client needs
Write press materials, client briefings, campaign plans, and communication materials; draft messaging and talking points for senior management presentations including press interview prep
Pitch to media and execute long-range communications strategies that raise clients’ profiles and secure coverage in regional and national publications; secure executive placements on industry panels
Assist in planning and overseeing large-scale media events, including logistics, staffing, and press management
Support issues management and crisis communications
Oversee content creation on social media and distribution of press materials across platforms
Research client issues and apply findings to strategy and approach
Collaborate within a team account structure; mentor junior staff to meet deadlines, enhance skills, and cultivate media relationships

Requirements

8 – 10 years of client and media relations experience at a PR agency preferred
developed real estate public relations expertise required with versatility to work across multiple sectors
experience in capital structures, land use, architecture, economic development, mortgage finance, design, property tech, leasing, and/or business-to-business (will be helpful)
college degree preferred – focus in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field is ideal
background in PR for real estate is required
