  • Mentor and develop content strategists to raise the quality of the team’s work.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day content strategy across a diverse portfolio of work, including major campaigns, always-on programs, sports partnerships and activations, and innovation projects.
  • Help maximize the value of the client’s major partnerships - including FIFA, The Masters, ANWA and the Boston and Chicago Marathons - by identifying compelling content opportunities before, during and beyond key moments.
  • Translate business, brand and audience needs into clear content strategies, briefs, frameworks and plans.
  • Develop content strategies across the customer journey - from awareness and engagement through consideration, education, conversion and relationship building.
  • Shape editorial and always-on content strategies, identifying what the client should talk about, where it can add value and how content should show up across channels.
  • Connect brand storytelling, financial education, products and services, customer needs and cultural context to create content people find useful and relevant.
  • Guide content development across digital and owned experiences, social, search, paid media and other customer touchpoints.
  • Bring strong content production expertise and be able to move from strategy into hands-on creative development and production, with experience shaping both owned content and media-led content partnerships and a strong understanding of the broader content and media marketplace.
  • Partner closely with Social, Media, Creative and Production teams to turn strategy into strong content and stay involved through development and execution.
  • Use audience, cultural, search, performance and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and continuously improve the work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in content, digital, social, brand or integrated strategy, ideally within an agency or similarly complex environment.
  • Deep experience developing content strategies and programs for major brands, from strategic brief through development and execution.
  • Strong understanding of audiences, customer journeys, editorial planning, digital and owned content, and social content.
  • Ability to connect content to both brand and business objectives, rather than treating content as an output or channel.
  • Strong strategic and creative instincts - you can find the opportunity, articulate a clear point of view and inspire great work.
  • Comfort working across multiple content formats, channels and stages of the customer journey.
  • Familiarity with the changing role of search, AI and emerging discovery behaviors, with an appetite to build deeper expertise as these capabilities evolve.
  • Strong client leadership skills and the confidence to present, challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and developing strategists and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Financial services or another complex, regulated category is extremely helpful, but not essential.
