Vice President for Communications and External Relations

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic executive leadership to strengthen the College's relationships, reputation, and community impact.
• Provide leadership across development and fundraising, business and industry partnerships, and marketing and communications.
• Lead strategic direction across the three interrelated areas and translate institutional priorities into measurable results.
• Develop and empower talented professionals, build meaningful internal and external relationships, and translate institutional priorities into measurable results.
• Establish priorities, develop teams, align resources, and foster collaboration across the College's external-facing functions.
• Advance York Tech's "front porch" approach to create coordinated and welcoming experiences for external stakeholders.
• As a member of the College's executive leadership team, contribute to broader institutional leadership and decisions.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible professional experience, including significant leadership responsibility, in at least one of the following areas: development and fundraising, business and industry partnerships, or marketing and communications.
• Demonstrated accomplishments and a record of continued professional growth in at least one of these three areas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, establish strategic priorities, build collaborative relationships, and achieve organizational results.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
