(USA) Senior Manager, Communications

Responsibilities

• Developing communication strategies for Walmart's sourcing & procurement organization, encompassing supplier development, procurement, sourcing initiatives, innovation, surety of supply, operations, and people and tech.
• Acting as a strategic advisor to the business.
• Shaping Walmart's sourcing narrative.
• Leading press events and media announcements, including executive interview preparation.
• Counseling on speaking opportunities and interview requests.
• Partnering with senior sourcing leaders to enhance their thought leadership.
• Operating with a high sense of urgency.
• Delivering communication assets that enhance the enterprise narrative.
• Taking initiative and getting out ahead of challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area.
• 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
• passport with no legal restrictions to travel.

Preferred

• Politics, journalism, or relevant area, Working in a corporate retail or Fortune 100 environment
