Job Description

Description
Tyto Athene is looking for a Unified Communications (UC) Engineer to support a critical initiative to support our Federal customer's migration from a legacy telephony systems to Microsoft Teams. This position handles the planning, deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Microsoft Teams Phone System, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities
  • Planning and supporting deployment of Microsoft Teams-based UC solutions.
  • Setting up and managing call queues, auto attendants, and other telephony features
  • Configuring and supporting MS Teams for different devices, including desktop phones, especially Poly CCX models. This includes setting up phone Configuration Profiles, Common Area Phones, Zero touch login.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to MS Teams including call quality problems, call routing issues, and device connectivity problems.
  • Providing technical support to end-users and IT staff on MS Teams usage and troubleshooting.
  • Engineering support during deployment.
  • Troubleshooting issues, including diagnosing SIP reaces and call ladders.

Required
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of VoIP telecommunications environments
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams-based solutions, including Direct Routing, PSTN connectivity, and call queues.
  • Experience resolving complex service problems, performing expert maintenance and installs, configuring and testing all types of telecommunications equipment and services.
  • Experience troubleshooting Teams and telecommunications solutions.
  • Architecture and technical support documentation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • BS or equivalent experience with telecommunications services.
  • At least (3) years of experience administering Microsoft Teams.
Primary Product Knowledge
  • Microsoft Admin Center, Entra, Intune, Teams Admin Center, PowerShell.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $160,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
