Pay Range: $24.66 to $36.99
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Join Kwik Trip as an IT Knowledge and Communications Analyst 1
Kwik Trip is seeking an IT Knowledge and Communications Analyst 1 to help drive clear, effective knowledge and communication across Kwik Trip. In this role, you'll lead technical documentation efforts, support major technology initiatives, and create communications that keep teams informed and aligned. This position is ideal for a strong communicator who enjoys translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly content while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Do
- Develop, manage, and maintain technical documentation for IT systems, applications, processes, and tools.
- Lead documentation projects across multiple teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability.
- Transform complex technical information into clear, concise content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, style guides, and review processes.
- Mentor team members and help promote documentation best practices.
- Analyze feedback to identify opportunities for content improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to documentation tools, workflows, and content delivery methods.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure documentation aligns with organizational needs and objectives.
- Support and help shape communication strategies for major IT initiatives, technology rollouts, and system changes.
- Create and manage internal communications, including executive updates, change management messaging, and incident communications.
- Review communications for clarity, consistency, tone, and audience effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Technical Writing, English, Training, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 2–4 years of experience in technical writing, curriculum development, documentation management, adult education, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of technical writing principles and industry best practices.
- Experience developing content for multiple audiences and communication channels.
- Advanced written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Strong research, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience creating visual documentation such as diagrams, flowcharts, and process maps.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.

- Ability to lead documentation initiatives across multiple projects and business areas.
- Ability to mentor others and promote documentation standards and consistency.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and apply user feedback to improve content quality and effectiveness.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to identify content gaps and recommend innovative solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, engineers, project teams, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and information-gathering sessions.
- Ability to evaluate and leverage new tools and technologies to enhance documentation processes.
