Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Guide the formulation and enhancement of raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for innovation.
  • Conduct research and develop technical marketing materials and presentations, and deliver presentations as needed.
  • Create and deliver training programs for sales teams, distributors, and customers to enhance their understanding of product benefits and applications.
  • Build relationships with suppliers/industry influencers to stay abreast of industry developments and foster collaboration.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of raw materials and adjust marketing strategies, including tradeshows.
  • Identify new material distribution opportunities as well as new raw materials for manufacturing at tradeshows.
  • Oversee creation of all Marketing literature and content as well as Sales tools.
  • Oversee tradeshow planning and preparation and attend tradeshows.
  • Oversee Marketing projects as well as Marketing Coordinators and their work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, or Biology required
  • 5-7 years’ experience in technical marketing, product management, or related roles within the cosmetics or personal care industry
  • Must be able to analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment and convey complex scientific information to non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and safety required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication/presentation and multi-tasking skills required
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Some domestic and international travel required to support with tradeshows, customers, and suppliers
