Job Summary

Own the storytelling and content cadence across three campuses with end-to-end ownership of impact reporting, donor communications, and recruitment materials that feed engagement and visibility.

  • Content Development: Lead annual impact reporting and student/family/staff storytelling across campuses.
  • Channels & Publishing: Draft newsletters, web content, social posts, press materials, and donor communications with a strict content calendar.
  • Content Ops & Recruitment: Coordinate asset collection with campuses and support recruitment materials and SchoolMint communications.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Storytelling & Content Development: Support the development of MESA's annual impact report, including collecting student, family, and staff stories across all three campuses.
  • Storytelling & Content Development: Draft written content for newsletters, the MESA website, social media, press materials, and donor-facing communications.
  • Storytelling & Content Development: Work with each campus to collect photos, videos, and event updates through a shared submission process; follow up with school contacts to keep content coming in consistently.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: Manage and schedule content across MESA's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) in alignment with the network content calendar.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: Monitor weekly engagement metrics and provide monthly performance summaries and strategy to the Director.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: Maintain and update website content including staff bios, school calendars, job postings, board minutes, and campus news.
  • Social Media & Digital Presence: Organize incoming assets in MESA's shared media library and post to our social channels using network guidelines and the content calendar.
  • Enrollment & Recruitment Communications: Support the production and distribution of recruitment materials — flyers, digital ads, event promotions — across all three campuses.
  • Enrollment & Recruitment Communications: Coordinate with the recruitment team on application reminder campaigns, translated materials, and SchoolMint communications.

Requirements

  • (1) Bachelor’s degree OR a Rising College Senior
  • (2) Available to work in person 3–5 days per week ( please review MESA’s Bell Schedule to confirm compatible hours )
  • (3) Proven track-record of high community engagement and at least two years of experience in community work
  • (4) Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • (5) Solutions-oriented, “game” attitude with “all-hands-on-deck” mentality
  • (6) Belief in and alignment with MESA’s core values, educational philosophy and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • (7) Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed
  • (8) Spanish language fluency a plus

  • Comfortable working with multilingual and immigrant families.
