Responsibilities

• Position Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications and in close collaboration with the Enrollment Management, the Marketing and Communications assistant provides content in the form of e-newsletter creation via Garrett’s email platform, stories for the Seminary’s social media feeds and newsroom, and help managing content creation for the Seminary events calendar.
• Write, edit, and publish stories for social media and regular email communications, in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications
• Create drafts and schedule Garrett’s weekly e-newsletters by Friday morning of each week
• Help to manage the Seminary calendar and the events landing page
• Edit, publish, and, when applicable, write general announcements for the weekly e-newsletter
• Create drafts of Garrett’s monthly alumni e-newsletter
• Utilize design software to create images for website and social media
• Edit videos as needed to create clips for websites and social media
• Take photos for events to be used for the website and social media
• Help to manage various email inboxes for Marketing and Communications

Requirements

• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Experience working with Buffer, Canva, Constant Contact or similar marketing and design software
• Working knowledge of WordPress
• Ability to edit videos
• Works well with deadlines
• Detail-oriented
• Highly collaborative
