DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Summer PR Intern to support our growing client portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for a currently enrolled college or university student looking to gain hands-on agency experience in public relations, media, social media, and influencer marketing for some of the most exciting beverage and food/snack CPG brands around. You’ll work closely with our account teams to assist with campaign coordination, media monitoring, press materials, and day-to-day account support. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced agency environment where no two days are alike.

This is an unpaid internship, beginning in June. Academic credit is available, and the intern is welcome to coordinate credit with their institution.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:

Account Support

  • Gain hands-on experience tracking daily media monitoring, including competitive news and announcements, under supervisor guidance
  • Sit in on scheduled client conference calls and assist with both drafting and distributing call agendas under supervisor guidance and learning to document and organize action items following client calls
  • Support the implementation of ongoing account initiatives, including vendor and partner research.
  • Gain exposure to client mailer and product seeding programs by supporting the team in fulfillment and distribution logistics
  • Observe and contribute to client reporting processes, including coverage trackers, press clips, and competitive monitoring — learning how agency teams measure and communicate results
  • Develop professional writing and editing skills by contributing to polished, properly formatted client communications and documents under team guidance

Public Relations Tactics

  • Begin developing familiarity with the media landscape and tools like MuckRack, CoverageBook or Cision.
  • Assist in the drafting of press materials, including press releases, fact sheets, pitches, and media lists.
  • Support media outreach efforts and help track coverage results.
  • Gain exposure to media relations by supporting outreach programs and observing how editor and publication relationships are built.
  • Provide logistical support for media events, including research and vendor coordination.

Influencer Tactics

Provide support for influencer programming, including:

  • Assisting with influencer research and maintaining communication trackers
  • Helping compile reporting by gathering metrics, screenshots, and content links

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; willingness to learn new software and agency tools quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Genuine interest in PR, media, social media, and the food/beverage industry
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to take initiative
  • Experience or coursework in PR, communications, or marketing a plus; familiarity with MuckRack or Cision a bonus

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

  • Duration: Summer 2026 (dates flexible based on academic calendar)
  • Hours: Part-time or full-time hours available; minimum 15–20 hours per week
  • Location: Remote
  • Compensation: Unpaid — academic credit available
  • Interns will receive structured mentorship throughout the program, including weekly one-on-one check-ins with a supervising team member, a mid-program feedback session, and an end-of-program review. You'll gain hands-on project experience and real exposure to client work across a dynamic portfolio of food and beverage CPG brands.
