Job Summary

Support the social media program for the UNW community by coordinating content creation, scheduling, and engagement across platforms, while ensuring branding, policy adherence, and event support.

  • Content Operations: assist with writing, scheduling, and maintaining the social content calendar and collaborate with creators to curate content for the UNW community.
  • Community Engagement: monitor channels and engage alumni, students, staff, and faculty to sustain conversation and brand presence.
  • Brand & Event Support: ensure content follows branding and policy guidelines and assist with ZeeMee Live events planning and related site updates.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with writing, scheduling, and maintaining the social media content calendar.
  • Collaborate with department content creators to cultivate and curate social media content for the UNW community.
  • Engage with UNW constituents (alumni, students, staff, and faculty) through monitoring UNW’s social media accounts.
  • Ensure that content follows UNW branding and written communication guidelines as well as the social media policy.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and advertising for ZeeMee Live events.
  • Assist with website updates, photography/videography, or blog writing as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Requirements

  • Sophomore standing or higher preferred
  • Communications Studies, Marketing, Professional Writing, Public Relations majors preferred
  • Technically competent with experience working on websites and social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and ZeeMee.
  • Willingness to learn the following tools: Sprout Social (scheduling), Wrike (project management), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google (Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Analytics), Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment
