Job Summary

Own content creation and cross-channel engagement for Academic Success units, collaborating with the Digital Media team and event teams to plan, produce, and promote campaigns, live coverage, and branding across social platforms.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • 15%- Maintain, create and curate day-to-day content for multiple units social media channels.
  • 10%- Develop and execute student engagement strategies specific to varying social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • 8%- Assist in the development of marketing campaigns to promote Academic Success initiatives such as events and campaigns for multiple units.
  • 5%- Assist in in-person marketing events and tabling opportunities.
  • 7%- Understand target audiences by obtaining knowledge of past, current and future trends to successfully aid in trend forecasting to create content.
  • 5%- Assist Digital Media Coordinator, Communication Coordinator and Event Coordinators within unit sponsorships that support unit events.
  • 10%- Actively participate in departmental events to capture and promote events in the moment for live footage (Facebook Live/Stories, Instagram Live/Stories, YouTube Live).
  • 8%- Enhance and maintain Academic Success unit's individual branding within marketing initiatives.
  • 10%- Work directly with members of the Digital Media team to collaborate on marketing strategies and content creation.
  • 5%- Utilize the Team Dynamics workspace to mark task accomplishment and record work time.

Requirements

  • - Previous experience working with Canva and / or Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Express), as evidenced in application materials.
  • - Strong communication skills as demonstrated by application materials.
  • - Experience working in a creative and innovative strategical thinking environment, with the ability to understand marketing strategies for short-term and long-term campaigns, as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred

  • Experience with Meta Business Suite or similar social media management platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with filming and editing short form mobile video content (Instagram reels editor, TikTok editor, Premiere Pro).
  • Self-starter who can take artistic direction and contribute original ideas in a collaborate manner within the team.
  • Experience working and fousing on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with the principles and practices of digital, in-person and print based marketing.
  • Experience with the management and planning strategies for design focused collaborative projects.
  • Experience and comfortability with being filmed for social media and speaking with a variety of students.
