Job Summary
Own the university social media presence as a DMA, creating engaging content, connecting with prospective students, and supporting undergraduate admissions events and collaborations.
- Lead Instagram-based outreach and content creation
- Collaborate with Admissions on posting and campaigns
- Engage with students and attend events to represent the university
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Post on Instagram (posts, stories, reels, etc.) on assigned day
- Create engaging content
- Connect online with prospective students and answer questions about the university, areas of study, and opportunities for students
- Attend monthly RA meetings
- Be an active member in the GroupMe to collaborate with other DMAs
- Collaborate with the Undergraduate Admissions team in generating and posting creative content.
- Attend all UG events
- Perform additional work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively and professionally with all constituencies of a diverse community.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Ability to effectively express ideas clearly in both written and verbal communications.
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of situations and constituents.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to respectfully manage sensitive conversations and information.
- Be currently enrolled as a student at EMU.
- High School diploma.
