Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to lead integrated communication strategies and earned media campaigns aligned with client objectives and emerging news cycles
  • Manage communication initiatives from insight development through media activation, ensuring accuracy, clarity and impact at every stage
  • Advise clients, internal teams and external partners on how to position findings for maximum reach, relevance and credibility
  • Translate complex research and data into compelling narratives, press materials and media pitches
  • Build, manage and grow relationships with national and global media contacts
  • Proactively identify opportunities to insert Gallup research into timely conversations and high-profile outlets
  • Orchestrate report launches, briefings and outreach with precision and urgency
  • Operate seamlessly between big-picture communication strategy and meticulous execution, independently managing multiple fast-moving priorities
  • Partner closely with researchers and client teams to ensure alignment between research insights and communication strategies
  • Measure and evaluate media impact, tracking results against objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in public relations, journalism, communications or marketing
  • At least three years of experience in journalism or PR, including agency and client services experience, required
  • Demonstrated success leading earned media campaigns required, preferably for research, public policy or social impact initiatives
  • Experience working with reporters and established media contacts required
  • Strong data fluency required, including the ability to independently analyze survey results and crosstabs to identify accurate, newsworthy insights
  • Experience with Meltwater or other media software required
  • Proficiency with AI tools required
  • A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Washington, D.C., office at least three days per week required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
