Job Description

Responsibilities

Support our mission of bringing psychedelics education to the cancer community
Build social media engagement by managing podcast and blog content
Help shape how we talk about sensitive subject matter in public
Contribute to a project of your own design, aligned with your interests

Requirements

Enrolled in a graduate program (Master's or PhD) with research or coursework in psychedelics, oncology, or a related field
Experience using the major social media platforms
21 or older, and authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

Social media content creation experience
Social media management experience in a nonprofit or for-profit organization
Prior work experience in psychedelics, oncology, or another healthcare field

Healing Cancer Journeys

Our mission is to provide education and community for people exploring psychedelic medicines in their cancer journeys. There are 18 million Americans living with cancer, and a cancer diagnosis significantly increases the risk of depression, anxiety and suicide. A growing body of rigorous research demonstrates that psychedelic medicines are efficacious in addressing anxiety and existential distress in cancer patients, yet psychedelics largely remain a taboo topic. HCJ is working to address the 'Triple Stigma' by catalyzing open, science-based conversations about cancer, death and psychedelic medicines.
