REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Communications & Business Partnering (Human Resources & Corporate Functions) in Winston-Salem, NC.
The Business Communications & Sustainability (BC&S) team brings Reynolds American’s purpose and brand to life through strategic storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
The Senior Manager, Communications & Business Partnering (Human Resources & Corporate Functions) serves as the strategic communications advisor to Reynolds’ Human Resources & Corporate Functions. This role ensures employees understand and connect with functional priorities while enabling leaders to communicate with clarity, credibility, and impact.
The role requires strong business partnering skills to translate functional objectives into communications strategies that drive alignment, engagement, and performance. With a focus on change communications, employee engagement, and insights-driven campaigns, this leader plays a critical role in connecting people to the business, enabling transformation, and advancing Reynolds’ purpose and commercial impact.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and Corporate Function leaders, aligning communication strategies with functional and enterprise objectives while anticipating needs and provide proactive counsel on communications opportunities, risks, and positioning.
  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans that meet function and stakeholder objectives.
  • Translate complex priorities into clear narratives and campaigns that highlight the commercial impact of HR and Corporate Functions enterprise-wide
  • Lead communications for transformation initiatives, including technology adoption, organizational evolution, and process improvements.
  • Equip leaders and managers with messaging and tools to help employees navigate change with confidence.
  • Create and manage integrated communications campaigns across multiple platforms (intranet, digital signage, events, video, etc.).
  • Own the annual communications cycle for HR and Corporate Functions ensuring alignment, sequencing, and resourcing.
  • Manage budgets, agency partnerships, and timelines effectively in collaboration with Lead Manager, Communications Development.
  • Support internal and external events and create/develop integrated communications materials.
  • Partner with Corporate Brand and Internal Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated execution across BC&S.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in internal, external and/or corporate communications, ideally in FMCG or highly regulated industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders and shape communication strategies linked to business outcomes.
  • Expertise in change communications and employee engagement.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. Able to make technical and scientific content accessible and compelling.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using insights to measure and improve communications effectiveness.
  • Highly collaborative, agile, and solutions‑oriented, able to operate independently with sound judgment, resilience under pressure, and full ownership of outcomes.
  • Experience working effectively in matrixed organizations, influencing without direct authority and collaborating cross‑functionally.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities, operate at pace, and deliver in complex, fast‑moving environments.
