Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: One full-time staff member and one contracted position

The Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering survivors of gender-based violence and other forms of family harm in the New York Tri-State area. Through counseling, advocacy, education, and supportive services, KAFSC helps adults, youth, and children build safe and healthy lives grounded in dignity, compassion, and mutual respect.
Each year, more than 3,000 individuals benefit from KAFSC’s culturally responsive, linguistically accessible, and free services. KAFSC is committed to preventing and ending domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and relationship abuse while advancing safety, healing, and long-term empowerment for immigrant survivors and underserved communities.
Position Summary
The Special Events and Communications Manager is a key member of KAFSC’s leadership team and plays an essential role in advancing the organization’s mission, visibility, and fundraising goals. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position leads the planning and execution of signature fundraising and donor engagement events, strengthens external communications, and helps grow KAFSC’s base of philanthropic support. This role requires a strategic, organized, and creative professional who can manage multiple priorities, communicate KAFSC’s impact with clarity and conviction, and build strong relationships with donors, board members, partners, and community stakeholders.
