Job Description

The Spa Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, and financial performance of the spa at World Equestrian Center Ocala, a premier luxury hotel-resort destination. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, high service standards, and profitable operations while managing spa staff, treatments, retail offerings, and facility operations. The position plays a key role in developing spa programs, driving revenue, and maintaining a tranquil, luxury wellness environment aligned with the resort’s brand.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily spa operations, including guest services, treatment delivery, and facility standards.
    • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through consistent service excellence and personalized attention.
    • Manage, train, and develop spa staff, including therapists, technicians, attendants, and supervisors.
    • Establish staffing schedules and manage labor costs within budgeted guidelines.
    • Develop and implement spa policies, procedures, and service standards.
    • Oversee spa booking systems, scheduling, and coordination with Reservations and Front Desk teams.
    • Manage spa revenue, expenses, and financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as utilization, retail sales, and guest satisfaction.
    • Oversee retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales performance.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations.
    • Maintain spa facilities, equipment, and treatment rooms to luxury standards.
    • Handle escalated guest concerns and service recovery situations professionally and effectively.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue teams to develop promotions, packages, and wellness offerings.
    • Support special events, group bookings, and resort-wide initiatives.
    • Foster a culture of wellness, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the spa facility for extended periods.
    • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for administrative tasks.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members in a calm, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
    • 5+ years of spa, wellness, or luxury service management experience required.
    • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
    • Experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or destination spa environment strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of spa operations, treatments, and wellness services.
    • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
    • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
    • Exceptional guest service and service recovery abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
    • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
    • Primarily operational within spa and resort environments with administrative responsibilities.
