Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a senior Solution Consultant specializing in PLM to bridge complex product development and engineering requirements with scalable digital execution. In this role, you will act as a technical architect and strategic advisor for large-scale PLM transformations centered on CATIA and ENOVIA across global, multi-site engineering organizations. You will challenge legacy product lifecycle processes, re-engineer workflows, and ensure PLM modernization delivers measurable business outcomes across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
General Information:
- Role type: Solution Consultant, PLM (CATIA and ENOVIA)
- Seniority: Senior, typically 5+ years PLM implementation and consulting experience
- Work model: Remote with potential on-site visits to client facilities as milestones require
- Time zone: Flexible, with expected overlap based on project needs
- Language: Professional English required
Tasks and deliverables:
- Requirements Engineering and Process Design
- Run deep-dive discovery across engineering and product teams to audit current PLM processes (design authoring, change control, configuration, BOM management, release workflows).
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, compliance needs, and integration gaps.
- Produce clear requirement specifications, user stories, process maps, and traceability from business goals to system design.
- Solution Architecture and PLM Blueprinting
- Define the global PLM architecture and methodology for CATIA and ENOVIA implementations, upgrades, migrations, or consolidations.
- Design data models, part numbering strategies, product structures, variants and options, change and configuration management, and access control models.
- Produce solution blueprints, interface specifications, environment and deployment strategy, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, validation).
- Stakeholder Management and Program Alignment
- Serve as the primary liaison between engineering leadership, program management, and technical teams (PLM admins, developers, CAD leads, integration teams).
- Facilitate decision-making, drive alignment on scope and standards, and lead high-velocity resolution of risks and issues.
- Proof of Concept Leadership
- Lead technical PoCs to validate feasibility for complex use cases such as multi-CAD collaboration, complex assemblies, advanced change workflows, and enterprise BOM governance.
- Present findings to executives and engineering stakeholders with clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
- Delivery Enablement and Operational Excellence
- Support go-live readiness including training approaches, cutover planning, hypercare, and adoption metrics.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for end users and administrators, ensuring a smooth transition to daily operations.
- Knowledge Capitalization and Standardization
- Standardize project deliverables into reusable accelerators such as process templates, data migration playbooks, governance models, and validation checklists.
- Contribute to a best-practice library to speed up future global rollouts.
Required Experience:
- PLM Expertise
- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or leading delivery for enterprise PLM solutions, with strong focus on ENOVIA and CATIA.
- Experience with PLM core domains including product structure, EBOM and MBOM alignment concepts, change management, configuration management, document management, and release governance.
- Industry Domain Knowledge
- Proven track record in complex or regulated engineering environments such as Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment, High-Tech, or Life Sciences.
- Consulting Mindset
- Demonstrated ability to challenge existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose optimized, system-driven workflows rather than simply replicating legacy behaviors.
- Integration and Data Experience
- Experience designing or coordinating integrations between PLM and adjacent systems such as ERP, MES, QMS, ALM, PDM vaulting, and reporting platforms.
- Exposure to data migration strategy, data quality remediation, and master data governance within PLM programs.
- Project Leadership and Communication
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and multiple workstreams in parallel.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate engineering needs into technical architecture and actionable delivery plans.
- Mobility
- Willingness to travel on-site for discovery, workshops, and critical deployment milestones when required.
Engagement highlights:
- Strategic impact: Lead enterprise PLM transformations that directly influence engineering velocity, product quality, compliance, and time-to-market.
- Consultative autonomy: Your architectural decisions shape the global CATIA and ENOVIA deployment approach and long-term governance.
- Complex problem space: Work on challenging programs spanning multi-site engineering organizations, variants and options, and integrated digital thread initiatives.
- Modern engineering enablement: Exposure to digital continuity and Industry 4.0 adjacent initiatives where PLM is the system of record for product definition.
