In 2015, Rose Mukhar founded Justice At Last the only independent nonprofit law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area exclusively serving the legal needs of survivors, regardless of their age, gender, nationality or type of trafficking. Justice At Last provides free comprehensive legal representation that emphasizes dignity and is survivor-centered, culturally sensitive, trauma informed, and rights-based. Our practice is mobile and we go where the survivor is currently receiving services including the following counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara. We also empower those who have been labor trafficked and commercially sexually exploited by providing specialized trainings to help transform survivors’ lives. Justice At Last’s vision is for survivors of human trafficking to have the opportunity to define justice in their terms, and then obtain that justice, embrace their justice and thrive through justice.
