Job Description

Responsibilities

Edit high-performing social media content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style videos, ads)
Craft strong hooks within the first 1–3 seconds to stop the scroll
Optimize videos based on platform best practices (retention, pacing, captions, trends)
Repurpose long-form content (podcasts, webinars, UGC) into engaging short-form clips
Add captions, motion graphics, overlays, sound effects, and music to boost engagement
Collaborate with the team to test new concepts, formats, and trends
Follow brand guidelines while still bringing fresh, creative ideas
Design supporting assets like thumbnails, and simple graphics
Work with AI tools to enhance or generate visuals when needed

Requirements

Proven experience editing social media content that performs (portfolio required)
Strong understanding of platform trends, hooks, and retention strategies
Proficient in tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar
Experience working with brands, agencies, or content creators
Ability to think strategically, not just edit but edit with intent
Fast, reliable, and able to handle a high-volume workflow
Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
