Job Summary

Own social listening and trend informed content execution across calendars and campaigns, delivering rapid responses and timely posts for political and public affairs messaging.

  • Social Listening & Trend Tracking: Monitor platforms and online communities for emerging conversations and opportunities.
  • Content Planning & Calendar Execution: Maintain calendars and coordinate cross‑account publishing.
  • Creative Copy & Rapid Response: Draft posts and replies that stay aligned with policy and messaging while moving fast.

Job Description

  • Monitor social media platforms and online communities for emerging trends, conversations, and opportunities.
  • Maintain and execute content calendars across multiple accounts and platforms.
  • Curate and source relevant content that aligns with organizational goals and messaging.
  • Draft social media copy, captions, posts, and rapid-response content.
  • Track political, cultural, and social media trends to inform content strategy.
  • Assist with content planning, scheduling, and publishing.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop creative and timely social media campaigns.
  • Active daily user of major social media platforms, including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong understanding of online culture, memes, trends, and digital communication.
  • Deep interest in politics, public affairs, current events, and online political discourse.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to write in a variety of tones and styles, from professional messaging to internet-native content.
  • Familiarity with today\'s online language, trends, and digital communities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage content calendars and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and responding to breaking news and developing stories.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • Experience working on political campaigns, advocacy efforts, public affairs, or issue-based communications.
  • Texas political experience or familiarity with the Texas political landscape is preferred but not required.
  • Google Suite, Microsoft Office products (most notably Word and Excel), and basic design editing tools (Canva, Opus) are preferred.
  • Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools.
