Minds Matter of Chicago is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success.Students join Minds Matter as sophomores, undertaking a three-year program of one-on-one mentoring and rigorous academic tutoring. Our students receive valuable resources such as coaching in writing, critical thinking, and math. We also provide SAT test preparation, leadership development, and life skills training.Our goal is to prepare students with the skills needed to succeed in today's competitive college and university system.We guide our students every step of the way through the college admissions process, and help their families navigate the complicated process of applying for financial aid and scholarships.100% of Minds Matter of Chicago graduates have been accepted to four-year universities, many at leading institutions and all with substantial funding packages.
