Social Media Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage our social media content across multiple platforms.
• Create short-form video content, photos, graphics, reels and stories.
• Come up with fresh, creative ideas that showcase our people, services, customers and brand.
• Film and edit engaging video content suitable for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
• Write engaging captions and posts that encourage comments, shares and interaction.
• Build and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
• Schedule posts and ensure content is published consistently and at the right times.
• Monitor our social media channels and actively engage with our audience, responding to comments, messages and conversations.
• Help grow our following and turn our social media channels into an active and engaged community.
• Keep up with current social media trends, formats, sounds and content styles and identify opportunities for the brand.

Requirements

• Have experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand.
• Be confident using Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Be comfortable creating content yourself, rather than simply managing content produced by someone else.
• Have experience filming and editing short-form video.
• Have a good eye for photography, composition and visual content.
• Understand what makes people stop scrolling, watch a video and engage with a post.
• Be confident writing engaging captions and communicating a brand's personality.
• Understand how to build an audience rather than simply collect followers.
• Be comfortable speaking to people and capturing authentic content.
• Be organised and able to plan and schedule content in advance.
