Own end-to-end social media strategy and content pipeline across TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and more for YA fantasy IP, driving growth, engagement, and conversions while coordinating with creative teams.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies that grow audiences and drive engagement, sales, and brand awareness.
  • Concept, create, edit, and publish compelling short-form content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat and emerging platforms.
  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut , with a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, captions, music, and platform best practices.
  • Film engaging mobile content, directing simple shoots, and capturing behind-the-scenes moments for social media.
  • Manage day-to-day posting across social channels with a combined audience of millions.
  • Brainstorm original content ideas and marketing campaigns around our books, films, television projects, and original IP.
  • Identify trends, cultural moments, and fan conversations that can be transformed into engaging content.
  • Write compelling captions, hooks, and calls-to-action optimized for each platform.
  • Analyze platform analytics and continually refine strategy based on what's actually driving audience growth, engagement, and conversions.
  • Monitor and engage with our online communities, fostering meaningful interactions with fans and readers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience creating and growing social media content with a strong understanding of what drives engagement, audience growth, and conversions.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and managing content calendars across multiple social platforms.
  • Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut .
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and emerging social platforms.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts and an understanding of what makes content highly shareable.
  • Strong understanding of platform analytics and the ability to translate performance data into creative decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving creative environment.
  • A genuine passion for YA and fantasy storytelling, with an understanding of the audiences that love these worlds.
  • Ability to work in person at our Sherman Oaks office two to three days per week.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing books, entertainment, media, or consumer brands.
  • Familiarity with BookTok, creator marketing, or influencer partnerships.
  • Graphic design or motion graphics experience.
  • Experience with paid social advertising.
  • Photography or production experience.
  • Comfortable filming content on a phone and directing simple shoots is a plus.
