Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Social Media Coordinator to manage and execute social media strategies for both Lids and Ebbets. This role will focus on content creation, community engagement/moderation, influencer identification and outreach, and reporting on owned and earned performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in social media strategy, and influencer marketing.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute platform-specific social media strategies aligned with brand, merchandising, and marketing objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end content planning, including campaign calendars, product storytelling, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all social platforms.
  • Oversee daily social media operations, ensuring timely execution of content and campaigns.
  • Manage workflow prioritization, content approvals, and quality control across multiple brands (e.g., Lids, Ebbets, Custom Lids).
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability of social media operations.
  • Lead influencer strategy, including identification, outreach, negotiation, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with agencies, creators, and external partners to execute campaigns and amplify brand reach.
  • Support budget planning and allocation for influencer and social initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs including engagement, reach, conversion, traffic, and ROI.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve campaign and content performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing and pilot new formats, platforms, and strategies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a key liaison between marketing, merchandising, e-commerce, and store operations teams.
  • Align social content with product launches, promotional campaigns, and omni-channel initiatives.
  • Partner with paid media teams to scale high-performing content and support integrated marketing efforts.
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and training to junior team members, interns, and coordinators.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment focused on innovation and accountability.
  • Support workload planning and resource allocation across social initiatives.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
  • Introduce new content formats, tools, and best practices to enhance brand relevance and engagement.
  • Identify competitive opportunities within the retail and digital landscape.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand standards, legal guidelines, and company policies.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or brand marketing (retail preferred)
  • Experience managing multi-brand or multi-channel social strategies
  • Proven experience in social media, content creation, and influencer outreach.
  • Strong copywriting skills and familiarity with social media platforms' best practices.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage timelines.
  • Excellent communication and community engagement skills.
  • Passion for sports, apparel, streetwear, and influencer marketing is preferred.
  • Well versed in social media including new and emerging platforms.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
  • Teammate who is solution oriented, who can own projects, and collaborates well with others.
  • Experience working with and promoting brand initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to convert social data, listening reports, and findings into clear and impactful strategies.
  • Experience in influencer management, with a proven track record in overseeing successful
  • Enthusiastic team player with the flexibility to re-prioritize, multi-task, and switch tasks fluidly.
  • Well organized with attention to detail and ability to follow through.

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Ability to constantly sit at a desk in a sedentary work environment
  • Ability to frequently communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to view electronic/written materials and adjust focus when needed (i.e. computers screens, documents, etc.)
  • Ability to frequently use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally stand and walk throughout the office.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally present information to small and large groups, including team members and leadership.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
