Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop social media strategies for deep tech clients across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, Substack, and emerging channels.
  • Advise clients and executives on platform best practices, content strategy, reputation management, and thought leadership.
  • Build content calendars, evergreen content libraries, and social campaigns.
  • Identify content opportunities, industry conversations, and story angles that strengthen client narratives.
  • Recommend channel strategy, including when to leverage company pages, executive accounts, posts, reposts, and engagement.
  • Write social content for company pages and founder/executive accounts.
  • Develop original thought leadership content, including LinkedIn posts, short-form video clips, and blog content.
  • Adapt existing materials, including press releases, media coverage, podcasts, panels, articles, research reports, and announcements into engaging platform-specific content.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible narratives.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across channels.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in social media, digital communications, or PR — ideally within an agency or fast-paced brand environment.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong sense of tone, timing, and nuance.
  • Proven ability to translate complex or technical topics into engaging social content.
  • Deep familiarity with social listening tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout, Brandwatch, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems — from LinkedIn and Twitter/X to Reddit and Substack.
  • Basic design literacy and comfort using tools like Canva to produce quick-turn visuals.
  • Excellent news judgment, cultural awareness, and ability to identify emerging digital trends.
  • Experience advising executives or clients on social media best practices and reputation management is a plus.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to operate autonomously, juggle multiple priorities, and act with discretion and judgment.
  • Must love deep tech

Preferred

  • X/Twitter-native experience, including understanding of platform culture, how to create high potential virality moments, and community driven engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with Web3, crypto, developer communities, or other highly engaged online ecosystems.
  • Experience with social-first video content, including editing short-form clips, identifying strong hooks, and packaging content for different platforms.
  • Experience supporting B2B creator/influencer programs.
  • Experience building communities on Reddit or niche forums.
