Job Summary

Own the storytelling and community-facing content engine across social, events, and campaigns for a nonprofit focused on adults with developmental disabilities; you’ll own content capture, editing, publishing, and partner storytelling, with a heavy emphasis on event coverage and community impact.

  • Content creation and publishing across social, website, and digital platforms with a focus on awareness and engagement.
  • Community engagement and event coverage, building relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Storytelling that reflects mission, showcases participants and programs, and strengthens outreach campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow PCS social media channels.
  • Create engaging content for social media, website, and digital platforms.
  • Support online reputation management and community engagement.
  • Develop content strategies that increase awareness and engagement.
  • Attend community events and capture photos, videos, and interviews.
  • Create compelling stories highlighting participants, staff, programs, and community impact.
  • Produce content that reflects PCS's mission and values.
  • Edit and publish multimedia content across digital platforms.
  • Promote PCS programs, services, and community initiatives.
  • Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Personal production and post-production equipment (camera, microphone, editing software, etc.).
  • Experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or community outreach.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Portfolio of previous content, campaigns, or creative work.
  • Experience working with nonprofits, social services, or community organizations.
  • Familiarity with regional centers, HCBA, or disability services.
