Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Creates and produces original content for District marketing channels. Writes and edits social media, news, feature, promotional, web, email, and campaign content. Captures photography and produces short-form video, including shooting, editing, captioning, and adapting video for social platforms. Identifies and develops student, alumni, faculty, program, employer, and community stories.
• ECC Support: Provides strategic marketing and content support for Ellsworth Community College. Serves as on-campus marketing support at ECC, develops relationships with campus stakeholders, identifies stories and content opportunities, and provides photography, video, social media, news, and event support.
• Social Strategy: Develops and implements District-wide social media and content strategy in collaboration with Director of Marketing and the Marketing team. Establishes content priorities, recommends platform- and audience-specific approaches, maintains the social media calendar, schedules and publishes content, and ensures social communications align with enrollment priorities, institutional goals, brand standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Campaign Support: Supports integrated marketing and enrollment campaigns. Participates in campaign planning; develops organic content plans that complement paid advertising, web, email, recruitment, and other campaign activities; identifies appropriate stories, testimonials, video opportunities, and calls to action; and coordinates content according to campaign timelines and objectives.
• Contributor Coordination: Works with faculty, staff, students, athletics, admissions, workforce programs, and other departments to identify content opportunities and obtain information, photos, video, and stories. Provides guidance on content standards, brand consistency, accessibility, social media practices, and submission workflows.
• Performance Analytics: Monitors and evaluates social media and content performance. Tracks engagement, reach, audience growth, video performance, referral activity, and other relevant measures. Uses available analytics to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend adjustments to content, cadence, platforms, and audience approaches. Provides regular performance observations and reporting to the Director of Marketing and the Marketing team.
• Works and communicates professionally with others in a timely manner. Performs in a manner which benefits student learning.
• Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience required.
• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, digital media, or a related field.
