Job Summary

Own the end-to-end social media program for Wanderboat across major platforms, from ideation and production to publishing, optimization, and engagement.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of official channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X).
  • Create social-first content and build reusable assets to scale production.
  • Track performance, derive learnings, and iterate on topics, hooks, and formats.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Official Social Channels: Manage the day-to-day operation of Wanderboat’s official social media accounts across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Maintain a consistent posting rhythm, manage publishing schedules, and keep content calendars organized.
  • Adapt content execution based on each platform’s format, audience behavior, and distribution logic.
  • Create Social-First Content: Write and package social content around dining, local discovery, travel, city exploration, lifestyle experiences, and AI-powered discovery.
  • Participate in the full content workflow, including ideation, scripting, captions, hooks, thumbnails, editing, publishing, and iteration.
  • Repurpose product updates, user stories, local insights, and longer-form materials into short-form social assets tailored to each platform.
  • Ensure content is clear, engaging, platform-native, and aligned with Wanderboat’s brand voice.
  • Build Reusable Content Assets: Create and maintain reusable content assets, including short videos, image posts, carousels, captions, hooks, templates, and recurring content series.
  • Support the development of consistent content formats that can be tested, repeated, and scaled.
  • Help build Wanderboat’s social content library and improve internal content production efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in social media operations, content creation, content marketing, or official account management.
  • Hands-on experience operating business-owned social media channels, such as TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, X, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific content formats, audience behavior, social trends, and content distribution mechanisms.
  • Strong copywriting, content planning, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality social-first content efficiently and consistently.
  • Ability to repurpose product updates, user stories, local insights, and long-form materials into short-form social media assets.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate performance insights into content improvements.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain content calendars, asset libraries, publishing records, and performance insights.
  • Comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Interest in dining, local discovery, travel, lifestyle, AI products, or consumer apps.

Preferred

  • Experience creating content for consumer-facing products, lifestyle brands, travel, local discovery, or community-driven platforms.
  • Basic video editing and light design skills using tools such as CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling, analytics, or content management tools such as Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Understanding of social discoverability, including TikTok search behavior, YouTube search behavior, hashtags, keywords, captions, and SEO-informed content structure.
  • Experience working with UGC, creators, or community-driven content is a plus.
