Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a social media content calendar aligned with the company's marketing objectives and fishing seasons.
  • Create captivating written, visual, and video content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and relevant fishing-specific platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content ideas, campaigns, and promotions.
  • Engage with the fishing community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and informative manner.
  • Curate user generated content submitted by the community.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and angler feedback to inform content strategy.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in paid social media advertising campaigns.
  • Stay up to date on the latest fishing trends, techniques, and industry news.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in social media content creation and managing social media for a brand or company entity (e-commerce brand preferably) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their target audiences.
  • Passion for the outdoors and, ideally, knowledge about the fishing industry and gear.
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
  • Self-starter with a proven track record contributing to a team that works in cross-team partnership in development of social/digital campaigns that drive results.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects at once and to shift priorities as the role calls for it.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications skills.
  • Fishing or Outdoor Industry experience preferred.
