Own the social content engine for Smoky Mountain Resorts, turning on-site experiences into video-first storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, while driving daily engagement and brand consistency; collaborate on promotions and campaigns and use performance signals to optimize content.

Social content production: plan, shoot, edit, publish video across platforms
On-brand management: maintain brand visuals and respond to audience
Performance-driven optimization: track reach and engagement and refine strategy

Job Description

Plan, shoot, edit, and publish short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms
Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in filmed content
Capture on-property content including rooms, amenities, waterparks, dining, events, and guest experiences
Stay current on social trends, audio, formats, and platform best practices, adapting content quickly and creatively
Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and engagement across all resort social channels
Write engaging captions that reflect brand voice while encouraging interaction and conversion
Monitor comments, messages, and trends to maintain a strong and responsive brand presence
Brand consistency: ensure visual storytelling aligns with brand standards across Smoky Mountain Resorts properties
Maintain consistency across multiple brands while highlighting each property's unique personality
Collaborate with internal teams on promotions, events, seasonal campaigns, and new offerings

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred but not required
1–2 years of social media or digital marketing experience, internships or freelance work preferred
Strong written communication skills with solid grammar and attention to detail
Basic understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and content trends
Ability to assist with content creation, scheduling, and day-to-day account management
Comfortable using Canva and basic photo/video editing software
Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role
Basic understanding of social media analytics (engagement, reach, etc.)

Experience in hospitality, tourism, lifestyle, or entertainment marketing (preferred)
Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
Strong video-first mindset with hands-on filming and editing experience
Deep understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
