Job Summary

Drive a student-focused, video-first content program by planning trend-driven storytelling for social channels, collaborating with campus leaders, and managing content partnerships.

  • Content Production: Plan and script organic, video-first content centered on student voices and campus stories.
  • Collaboration & Campaigns: Partner with the Marketing Team and Full-Time Officers on content creation and paid partnerships.
  • Platform & Presence: Support platform management and maintain confident on-camera presence for impact on TikTok and Instagram.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and create organic, video-first content for Bristol SU’s TikTok and Instagram
  • Focus on trends, storytelling, and student voices
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team and Full-Time Officers to create content
  • Support platform management
  • Produce paid-partnership posts with local and national businesses
  • Be confident both behind and in front of the camera
  • Communicate effectively with the Marketing Team and Full-Time Officers

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in social media content creation (ideally for an organisation, company or student group)
  • Confidence approaching students and officers to get involved in content and interviews
  • Passion for social media, trends and content creation; ability to contribute innovative ideas to increase engagement on channels
  • Confidence both behind and in front of the camera, with willingness to feature in content when required
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work effectively with the Marketing Team and Full-Time Officers
  • Open to University of Bristol students who are in active study between September 2026 and June 2027
  • Must be able to work a minimum of four hours per week in person with the Marketing Team in Senate House offices
