Drive social, community and creator momentum for Loka as a Social & Community Executive.

  • Own day-to-day social channel management, content creation and distribution across platforms.

  • Strong cultural instinct for South Asian-influenced brands and identifying creator opportunities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Channel Ownership & Growth
  • Day-to-day management of Loka’s social channels, ensuring we show up consistently, with cultural relevance and real cut through.
  • Execute the social calendar end-to-end — planning, scheduling, publishing.
  • Bring campaigns, launches and brand moments to life.
  • Iterate your strategy quickly based on data and performance metrics.
  • Community Management
  • Help build and nurture an engaged global community around Loka.
  • Manage day-to-day community interactions — including comments, DMs, paid ad comments, website reviews and Amazon reviews — ensuring responses are intelligent, empathetic and good humored.
  • Monitor community sentiment and recurring themes, escalating sensitive issues where needed.
  • Wherever Loka lives online, it should feel premium, thoughtful and genuinely cared for.

Requirements

  • Around 3–5 years’ experience in social media, community or content roles with a proven track record of growing audiences and engagement (or equivalent experience running your own channels).
  • Experience managing social platforms either in-house, agency-side or independently.
  • Highly organised and action-oriented — you take ownership and get things over the line.
  • Comfortable working independently and prioritising in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Deeply plugged into social media and cultural trends, with curiosity about culture, creativity and culturally rooted brands.
  • Strong visual instincts and interest in areas like food, design, makers and emerging creative communities.
  • Comfortable across core content skills — copywriting, basic design and content planning — with curiosity for what performs and why.

Preferred

  • Experience with tools like Figma, Klaviyo or CapCut
  • Connection to South Asian culture or diaspora communities (not essential)
