Job Summary

Own and optimize the end-to-end content engine for Landman, from packaging and production to distribution and performance analytics, delivering short- and long-form content across YouTube, Instagram, and more.

  • Own growth strategy and packaging
  • Lead production systems and data-driven pivots
  • Drive measurable performance across platforms

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end social growth strategy across all platforms, translating long-form content into high-performing short-form assets that drive traffic, retention, and measurable brand growth.
  • Own packaging for every piece of content: titles, thumbnails, hooks, and cold opens for the weekly long-form show; hooks, captions, and cuts for the shorts. Our packaging law: amount + timeframe + tension, receipts verified before publish.
  • Deliver three title/thumbnail/hook options with written reasoning within 48 hours of receiving footage. Clay gives one packaging note. You decide from there.
  • Cut and ship the weekly long-form episode. Tuesday publishes no matter what, and the buffer never drops below three episodes.
  • Mine 8-12 clips per episode and run the green-screen shorts pipeline to a sustained daily shorts cadence across YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. Post directly. No committee, no queue.
  • Run the recording days: batch sessions and field shoots are yours to direct, so every hour of Clay on camera yields a week of content.
  • Build and optimize repeatable production systems, including AI-driven workflows that increase speed, output, and quality.
  • Monitor performance data across platforms, translate insights into actionable pivots, and continuously improve strategy based on measurable results. Bring the numbers to the Friday review: retention curves, hook performance, CTR, subscriber sources, what won, what died, and one format experiment for next week.
  • Produce a weekly competitive scan: what's winning in adjacent niches (money, outdoors, business), what we adopt, what we skip and why. We are never the team that stopped studying the game.
  • Work with the team to find and vet brand-aligned podcast guests: operators with verified receipts who fit the show.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in social production, digital strategy, or video-first content growth, with a proven track record of scaling accounts through original video content.
  • Demonstrated experience managing at least one direct report and owning performance outcomes.
  • Strong editorial judgment. You can consistently identify high-retention moments within long-form content and understand why they will perform on specific platforms.
  • Deep platform fluency across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging formats, with a clear understanding of distribution mechanics and platform culture.
  • AI-forward operator who actively integrates AI into creative and production workflows to increase speed, output, and iteration.
  • Results: Numbers go up: subscribers, long-form average view duration (8+ minutes), hook retention at 30 seconds on both forms, shorts completion above 60%, and newsletter signups per thousand views, tracked weekly on a scoreboard you own.
  • Tuesday ships every week. 13 for 13 in the first 90 days, buffer intact. 180 shorts published in the first 90 days.
  • Packaging calibration with Clay climbs from 60% to 85%+ across the first 90 days, and at least one of your packaging calls measurably beats his instinct.
  • Clay's content time stays under 6 hours per week: ideation, recording, one packaging note per piece, and the Friday review. Nothing else.
  • Production systems get faster and cheaper every month without quality dropping, and a short-form editor is hired and producing under your templates inside 90-180 days.

Benefits

  • Flexible, unlimited paid time off.
  • Employer-sponsored medical plans.
