We are looking for a happy & upbeat, motivated and hands-on individual to join our talented Team to help with our computer work load related to inventory, marketing, and Customer correspondence.

You must share our dedication to creating the best sewing lounge in DFW where Sewists of all types gather to create, learn, share, and grow. We all pitch in to keep the shop running and have lots of fun!

Urban Spools Sewing Lounge offers modern fabrics, sewing classes, longarm services, and Baby Lock sewing machines for the modern Sewist. We are based in Dallas, Texas. We take immense pride in serving all Customers with highest level of customer service.

Duties will include:

• Strong computer skills to assist with various inventory tasks
• Strong photography skills to assist with marketing tasks
• Detailed oriented
• Strong math skills
• Dedication to the highest quality of customer service
• Assisting Customers in their shopping experience
• Provide information to Customers about store services, product selection, upcoming classes and special programs
• Accurately and precisely complete all sales and service transactions and complete all pertaining paperwork
• Maintain a clean and well organized work environment
• Friendly and professional phone presence
• Focused, authentic, and strong team player
• Committed, trustworthy, and reliable

It would REALLY help if you:

• Have strong sewing skills.
• Understand how our product selection is unique and, more specifically, understand the difference between modern and traditional fabrics, fabric qualities and color theory
• Strong creative skills and a passion for the art of sewing

Additional Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry sewing machines up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends and occasional off site sewing events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
