Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the directory management lifecycle, including research, creation, verification, and optimization of listings for attorneys and the firm
• Identify relevant legal and local directories to maximize online presence
• Create, verify, and optimize directory listings, ensuring all information is accurate and consistent (NAP, descriptions, categories, services)
• Complete verification processes (email, phone, documentation) with high accuracy to ensure listings are trusted and indexed
• Maintain consistency across all listings to enhance local SEO and entity recognition
• Lead efforts to verify and optimize directory listings for improved visibility in search engines and LLMs
• Conduct citation building across top platforms such as Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, Yelp, Yellow Pages, Facebook, and niche directories
• Perform citation audits and cleanup to resolve inconsistencies and improve data accuracy
• Monitor and update directory profiles regularly to ensure completeness and relevance
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and verify attorney and firm information

Requirements

• Proven experience with citation and directory management platforms such as Yext, Whitespark, Chatmeter, or similar tools
• Strong familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console
• Experience engaging with Reddit, Quora, and other forums for visibility and traffic generation
• Knowledge of link outreach, digital PR, and backlink strategies
• Understanding of how user-generated content impacts SEO and AI/LLM visibility
• Experience working with legal directories such as Avvo, FindLaw, and Justia
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze data, track progress, and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and gather necessary information
