Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of off-page SEO strategies, including link building, digital PR, and partnerships
  • Own GEO initiatives: track LLM citations, reverse-engineer content pull mechanisms, and implement citation growth strategies
  • Build and maintain a scalable backlink acquisition system with targeted outreach, response tracking, and performance measurement
  • Pitch Firecrawl into relevant publications, newsletters, podcasts, and developer roundups to increase brand mentions and citations
  • Collaborate with the content team to create linkable assets such as original research, technical benchmarks, and deep-dives
  • Monitor brand mentions, unlinked references, and competitor citations; convert opportunities into backlinks
  • Track and report weekly on key metrics including domain acquisitions, citation share within LLMs, referral traffic, and share of voice
  • Continuously optimize outreach and content strategies based on data insights and market trends
  • Stay current with emerging SEO techniques, especially in the context of AI and LLM citation dynamics

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in off-page SEO with a proven track record of building backlinks at scale
  • Deep understanding of GEO (generative engine optimization) strategies and LLM citation tracking
  • Extensive experience working with technical or developer-focused audiences and publications
  • Exceptional outreach and relationship-building skills with editors, community maintainers, and content creators
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive backlink acquisition systems
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in backlink tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz
  • Experience measuring and reporting on SEO impact, citation share, and referral traffic
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end
  • Understanding of developer communities, GitHub, newsletters, and technical content platforms

  • Background in digital PR, link building, or content marketing for SaaS or developer tools
