Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Convert complex business goals into comprehensive organic growth plans that span traditional SEO and emerging generative AI search landscapes.
  • Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct thorough technical, content, and structural site audits to discover scalable growth opportunities and improve crawl efficiency, rendering, and indexing.
  • AI Discovery & Optimization: Evaluate search query trends and generative prompt environments to position brands effectively within AI answer engines and LLM summaries.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Build data models and business cases that illustrate the potential business impact of organic recommendations to secure executive and developer buy-in.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated organic search experience, preferably within a fast-paced agency or enterprise-level in-house environment, with a proven track record of boosting organic footprint for brands.
  • Technical Expertise: A foundational understanding of web performance optimization, JavaScript rendering mechanics, structured schema, and search engine infrastructure (crawling, index management, and rendering pipelines).
  • Tools of the Trade: Expert-level mastery of crawling and diagnostic software (e.g., Screaming Frog, Google Search Console) and familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, Botify, or Lumar), as well as tools such as Google Tag Manager.
  • Emerging Search Tech: A passion for and practical understanding of how generative AI, LLMs, and conversational engines extract, interpret, and cite web information.
  • Analytical Skills: High proficiency using data platforms like Google Analytics, Data Studio, APIs, and MCPs to synthesize multifaceted metrics into actionable growth strategies.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A true team player who thrives in cross-functional environments. You love sharing knowledge, jumping in to help colleagues solve complex problems, and collaborating closely with different stakeholders.
  • Positive Energy: A resilient, solutions-oriented attitude. You view the fast-moving changes in search and AI as exciting opportunities rather than roadblocks, and you bring proactive, constructive energy to team dynamics.
  • Web Basics: Comfort with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript architecture as it impacts site visibility.
