Job Summary

Own and guide compliant, brand-aligned storytelling across print and digital content, mentoring writers and ensuring client campaigns meet regulatory and editorial standards.

  • Lead large creative initiatives (magazines, editorial programs) and align content with client needs.
  • Develop and review high-quality materials across multiple channels, ensuring brand and regulatory adherence.
  • Coach junior writers and onboard new creatives to sustain consistent output.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present patient stories, advertising/marketing copy, video/audio scripts, and blog posts, as well as standard business reports and correspondence
  • Create short form copy for digital projects such as web, display ads, email, and other online user experiences
  • Understand brand strategy, marketing goals, and FDA regulatory requirements, and weave that information seamlessly into the Ambassador’s story
  • Read and comprehend documents related to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, including medical education, clinical data, package inserts, and industry regulations
  • Switch quickly and easily between writing styles and mediums such as print and digital
  • Mimic tone and voice used by brand AORs when necessary
  • Write high-quality work that meets brand, regulatory, and editorial standards while also training and mentoring junior writers
  • Provide reviews of written content, offering developmental feedback and ensuring consistency across deliverables
  • Develop administrative materials as needed to ensure processes are consistent and writing team is supported
  • Assist managers in onboarding new creative hires and integrating them into the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or five-seven years of relevant industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license (passport may be necessary)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Mastery of the English language and a strong eye for detail
  • Superior writing, brainstorming, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with managers, clients, Ambassadors, and peers
  • Discretion, empathy, and professionalism when working with patients who live with chronic conditions
  • Travel is a fundamental part of the position; writers will travel to support the team and/or complete tasks (approximately once per month)
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents related to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, including medical education, clinical data, package inserts, and industry regulations
  • Ability to understand brand strategy, marketing goals, and FDA regulatory requirements, and weave that information into the Ambassador’s story
  • File and manage on-brand material with adherence to brand, regulatory, and editorial standards
  • Ability to switch between writing styles and mediums (print and digital)
  • Experience training and mentoring junior writers
  • Experience leading large creative initiatives (e.g., magazines, editorial programs, campaigns)
  • Ability to interface with clients in formal and informal settings, including presentations and feedback sessions

Preferred

  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
