Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to deliver tailored website solutions that meet client specifications.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into fully functional web pages with responsive design principles.
  • Optimize website performance through effective code practices, caching strategies, and scalability planning using tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, RESTful services, and web services to enhance site functionality and data visualization capabilities.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
  • Manage version control using GitHub or SVN, ensuring smooth collaboration across development teams within Agile frameworks like Trello or Jira.
  • Implement security best practices for WordPress sites, including regular updates, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with SEO standards for better visibility.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in WordPress development including theme creation, plugin customization, and site optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), TypeScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and UI/UX principles.
  • Experience with back-end programming languages like PHP, Python, Java, C#, and frameworks such as Laravel or Django.
  • Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite; ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker; automation tools such as Ansible; cloud platforms including AWS or Azure; CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of system architecture design for scalable web applications; experience with web servers like Tomcat or Apache; familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Expertise in developing responsive web designs ensuring optimal performance across devices; understanding of SEO best practices for web visibility.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies using tools such as Jira or Trello; strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SOAP web services; ability to develop secure APIs for seamless integrations.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including version control (Git), unit testing frameworks, and deployment automation to streamline development workflows.
